Description
Chitterlings or Chitlins (Pipe only) are Washed pork intestines turned inside-out, cleaned, cooked and bleached. Usually sold cooked and chilled, sometimes in their own jelly, to be eaten cold with vinegar and mustard, or fried with bacon.
N.B. Chitterlings by the nature of their function to the animal's digestive process have a distinct and pungent smell (as does a mature Stilton Cheese) The washing and bleaching process do not eradicate all of the odour. Many customers mistake this odour for the product putrefying - but this is not the case. Please do not order this product unless you are familiar with it and its properties.
